I heart Laura Vegas...

Who doesn't? She is one of my FAVORITE scrappers and such a sweetie. I was so honored and excited when she guest designed for the Bakery back in February that I thought I would ask her again and she said yes! :)

September's kit is called Seeing Spots (I'm sure you can see why! lol) and I PACKED it with some of my favorite goodies! Here is a pic:

and here are the projects Laura created:
Such talent. I could drool over her stuff all day. You can pick up this kit HERE. Hurry, I know they won't last long! (ETA: Only 2 kits left...get one today, while you can!) Also, don't forget to get some adhesive. I just got THIS and THIS in today! :) And ask Laura about these...they are great!

Okay, I have orders to fill. Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.Be back soon...

I have been scrapbooking...

just not for me. lol A friend of my mom's is going through the adoption process and asked me to create a few pages for a book to show potential birth mothers. I had to keep it simple but I do like how they turned out. Here are a few of the pages to prove that I do scrapbook still:

These pages made me realize how much I miss the 8 1/2 x 11 size. I might have to make a few of those for my book. :) Is is just me or is the 12x12 size a little scary sometimes? lol

These pages also made me realize how much Ted and I need to get going on our own process of adopting. Ted and I always have wanted to adopt and we really need to just sit down and get going on all of the research. I think adoption is amazing thing. If you know anyone that has adopted, please tell them to EMAIL ME. I would love to get some questions answered and chit chat! And even though Ted and I (okay, well more me then him LOL) are "reproductively challenged" (did anyone else know that line from Charlotte in Sex and the City? Love that!) we are still planning on adopting even if we have children of our own.

Okay, I know I am blabbering ...boring right? lol

Let's see...what else?

Since my Cricut was out for J.T.'s banner (see last post) I decided to cut some vinyl. I got some from Hobby Lobby and decided to cut some to put up on our wall in the kitchen. I decided to do our last name and maybe later an "established 2004" underneath....ignore the curling of the letters...it was in a roll....

Consider this a "Before" picture. I will show you the "After" very soon.

Thanks for reading. Be back Thursday....

Something Scrappy...

I thought I would share something scrappy because it seems like it has been awhile. I have been super busy helping my sister plan my nephew's first birthday party. His party was Saturday and his theme was catepillars (from baby einstein), so I decided to make his banner primary colors with circles. I used my cricut, which I do not do enough, and I love the end result....I used the Alphalicious cartridge because of the fun font and because it had cirles that had the two holes in the top already...perfect for banners! It is hard to see but I used gingham ribbon to hang it.

And here is the birthday boy...I have a MILLION shots to go through and edit but here is a couple I love....

I like that he sat in the monkey wheelbarrow I got him! lol Happy Birthday J.T.! Love that guy.

One more thing...I decided to sell some of my Sizzix stuff...First, my Sizzix Machine with new cutting pad PLUS an Alphabet Set (Doodle Block) for $75.00:

I am also selling my SHADOW BOX Alphabet Set for $50.00:
Every item is in GREAT condition! You can email me at info(at)scrapbookbakery.com if you are interested in purchasing or have any questions. I will charge actual shipping cost.

Thanks for stopping by. Off to bed...more on Tuesday! :)

Battle of the Bands

My son and his band (Impulsive) participated in the Battle of the Bands last Saturday and I thought I would share some pics. Here is the band: Eric, Zac, Alex, and Chris....
They were so nervous but did SO good. Zac does lead vocals and he had so much stage fright before he went on but blew me away with how calm he was on stage. Many people came out to support the guys. Here are some pics from the event...
My guy rocking the drums :) :
Alex and I made some t-shirts for some of the family to wear. Ted and I proudly wore ours:
Even my sweet nephew, J.T. was rocking out:

and even J.T.'s "girlfriend" Audrey (Jennie's daughter...and yes it will be an arranged marriage. LOL) came to see Alex play....
Another shirt we made. This one for my mom. Her and my dad wore matching shirts. :)

Alex and the guys did not place but they did have fun and said they wanted to do it again next year. We are already looking forward to it.

Must get my day going. Be back soon with some scrapping stuff. Have a great day!

And the winner is...

Congrats to Samantha Johnson who wrote:
i think my favorite source of inspiration comes from other scrapper/cardmakers blogs like your and the others i visit. i'm always looking for new ideas for the stuff i've hoarded.

Samantha, email me with your address so I can get the prize out to you. Thank you all for your GREAT tips. I will definitely be using them!

Some shop talk....
I am excited to put two new products in the shop. Lately, I have been obsessed with scalloped circles so I am doing a little test run on these....a multipack of different scalloped circle tags...

Aren't these fun? The pack includes different sizes:
7- two inch scalloped circle tags
3- three inch scalloped circle tags
2- four inch scalloped circle tags
You can find them HERE. Please let me know if you would like to see them in different colors. I can take custom orders to...just email me

Also, I just put in some adhesive dots, another thing I am obsessed about lately! Is it just me or does everything look better with a pop-dot under it? lol

You can find them HERE and they are only $1.49 for 180 dots! The best part is they are easy to peel and use. I was getting tired of other dimensional dots not peeling off easily or one side does and the other doesn't but these I really like! :)

In other news, my step-son is getting ready for Battle of the Bands this weekend. I am so excited for him. We are making t-shirts with his band logo on it for my family to wear at the concert. More on that soon along with some other fun stuff....

Thanks for stopping by! It was so nice to hear from some new readers! :)

Tired...

so, so, tired...that is why I did not post yesterday. sorry. trying to get caught up. I feel like I am swimming in to-do lists sometimes.

As promised...a peek at the layout I made over the weekend scrapping with the gals...

This LO I made for Alex has the lyrics to the song DREAM BIG. I love this song. Go to itunes and type in Dream Big....it is by Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. Everytime I hear this song, I think of Alex. Go check it out!

In other news, my studio is still a disaster BUT I got a little farther and tested out the color of paint I want .....it is the lighter green...called Asparagus (on the right)...the pic is not great but you get the idea. I really like it. It has made my studio so much more brighter. :)

Oh, before I forget. I want to do a give-away. I've had no time to prepare a pic for it...but it is a GOOD one! So leave a comment about your favorite organization tip or place of organizational inspiration. I need help in the studio. :) I will draw a name one week from today. Good luck!

I hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back with more soon....

My guys....

Hi! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did. Ted and I hung out a lot with my sister and brother-in-law...went to the festival and just hung out playing with my nephew. I also went scrapbooking with my friends on Saturday. We had so much fun. I will show you what projects I did tomorrow. But, in the meantime, here is a little eye candy for today.

My two amazing guys....my step-son and hubby.....

(It is hard to see but there is a border that I made from a stamp, "You're the Best"...it goes all the way around the red background paper)
Love them so much. Also made a matching card....

This is for the Hero Arts Challenge last week. It was to create a project about someone that inspires you. These two are my everyday inspiration, so I thought it was the perfect fit.

Thanks for stopping by....lots more tomorrow, even a give-away!
