Rejection....

Sorry for being a bad blogger but things have just been in a whirlwind lately. My heart is heavy with a lot on my plate and lots of rejection flying at me which is killing any positive attitude I have left. Why am I telling you all this? Well because I want to be honest and I have to remind myself it is okay to be raw. I love this industry but sometimes it can give you a blow below the belt with all the rejection. It just makes you feel like you're simply not talented enough sometimes. So I have decided to take a bit of a break from everything but I will be back soon. I just need to breath. But while I'm gone you shouldn't have to suffer so I am doing a GIVEAWAY! Just leave a comment to this post with an inspirational or favorite quote. I will draw a winner sometime next week. Thanks for reading!

sorry you're feeling bad Heather...you have a lot of friends behind you and I hope things turn around for you!
My favorite quote is "When no one cares, my dog still loves me". I even did a LO about it.

So sorry you are struggling with disappointment. I will encourage you to not give up and don’t stop submitting. I know it is disappointing and frustrating but keep on trying and don’t let someone else rob you of your joy as you create. Your work IS good and YOU are valuable! Keep on trying so that one day soon you will be noticed - just takes one break to open some doors.
Remember, I just posted about that paisley card - I still think it is fabulous – did you submit it anywhere :-)
Today is my birthday – would be fun to win –HAHA!

When life hands you lemons squirt the juice in their eye!
Ok, my kids really love that one.

"Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions."
– Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.
I just want to know if this applies to a woman's body after giving birth to 3 children too.
Hope you feel better soon.

Sending you hugs. Rejection is tough. Hope you get your bounce back soon.

I like this quote: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” (Alexander Graham Bell)

Not sure if this will be inspirational or not, but it's a quote that I really like (and need to be reminded up constantly) because I can be a bit of a grumbler. The quote doesn't inspire me as much as it really kicks me in the pants!! I hope things start looking up for you, and just know that your work has inspired me in the past! LOVED LOVED LOVED the last few posts with the cards that you did :)

Awwwh Heather, I too know that pain of rejection... Don't get discouraged, just keep submitting... I think your work is wonderful. It is so funny after reading your post all I could hear in my head was that song about how an ant can't move a rubber tree plant, something about high hopes... LOL!!! Hope you have a blessed day...

Hi Heather, You are so talented and noone can hold a candle to what you can accomplish!

A quote from Ann Landers: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold your head high, look it squarely in the eye and say, "I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me."
