Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month

Hello friends. Today's post is all about Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the month. You can find it HERE. Sweet Heidi from SImon sent me one to play with and I've been having so much fun with it and wanted to share my projects with you.

 First up, a Christmas card...
The stamp set in the kit is just yummy. Loved every single sentiment especially the "merry everything". I decided to heat emboss it with clear embossing powder and create a background.....

 Another Christmas card....
This one was SO fun to make. I cut a circle in the kraft cardstock and backed the hole with acetate to create a window. On a white piece of paper, I glued all sorts of stars that I punched from the fun printed papers in the kit and then smeared Diamond Stickles all over it and glued the piece behind the window. I stamped the STAR OF WONDER sentiment with Black Staz-On onto the acetate. A closer look at the shine....
Last Christmas Card...a simple one...
I stamped a plaid hero arts background stamp onto the craft paper and scattered a few hero arts mixed accents across it. Then I used the cute seal that came in the kit and put it along some ribbon that was also in the kit. Finally, I sprayed it with some bronze perfect pearls mist. LOVE the shine....
I didn't stop at cards. I needed something to put the handmade Christmas candy I've been making in. (gifts for neighbors) So I jazzed up some brown paper lunch bags by embossing THIS stamp with white embossing powder and then paperclipping the banner onto the front using the papers and sentiment from the kit.
Same design...different look...
 And another look....
That's all I've got for now. Hope you're having a wonderful Monday. Hugs.

Baby Bird & Bub Bub- Print Art with lots of Heart

Hello. Today I am thrilled to post about my friend, Kristina Proffitt's amazing Etsy print art shop, Baby Bird & Bub Bub. Back in October, I went on a crafting retreat with friends and wanted to give them a special gift. I immediately thought of Kristina and hired her to create a special print. We thought Craftiness is Happiness would be the perfect saying for the print because when I'm crafting with these ladies, I feel nothing but happiness. :)

Once we finalized the design, I bought some 4x6 frames at Target. It was right around the time they had college stuff out so they had packs of frames, which worked out perfectly. I pinked up some pink ones and silver ones...

(You can find the Craftiness is Happiness print in her shop HERE.)
I decided to do different color prints for each frames. The silver frames had the mint/melon combo....
and the pink frames had the grey/melon combo...
I then wrapped up each one in this ADORABLE wrapping paper (another target find)...
and jazzed in up with a hero arts owl because that wood grain paper was screaming for an owl...
I had to keep one for myself and every time I look at it, I smile thinking about those fun retreats with my girls. I have it displayed on top of a cabinet in my scrap studio...
That is not the only print art by Kristina in my scrap studio. I have two more hanging on my wall with some of my framed scrapbook pages...
A closer look.... (Capture Life print found HERE. Bright Ideas Happen here was from her shop also but I think it is discontinued.)
Oh, and one more hanging on a magnetic board on one of my shelves. Along the scissor blades it says, "I make stuff." You can find it HERE. I did yellow for this print but you can customize your color to fit your style.
I love her prints so much that I have them in other parts of my home as well but I will save that post for another day. :) Go check out her store. She is not only talented, but the kindest person. Love promoting good products made by good people.

Be back soon....

I'm Back and Glow in the Dark Card

Hello friends. Anyone there? I'm finally back to blogging. Things have finally settled down and I'm in the crafty mood again. It's probably from an amazing three day crafting retreat I just came back from a few days ago. Amazing girls, friendships, and inspiration. Such fun.

Anyways, had to share a pic of my little man from last night's trick-or-treating. Meet Mr. Dragon....

He was such a trooper through the HORRIBLE weather and double ear infection. Yes. He spent part of his Halloween at the doctor's office. :(

Okay, onto some crafty stuff. I wanted to share a card I created that spins. I made this for the little ones in the family for Halloween....

I also added a spring to the back of the ghost circle to give it motion....
As you pull on the left side, the card begins to open and spin to reveal the inside greeting...
I used THIS die to make it happen. I also tried GLOW IN THE DARK ACRYLIC PAINT and painted the ghost. Such fun to tell the kids that the ghost will glow. :) I also used lots of doodlebug products. Love that company.

That's all I got for now. Thanks for stopping by and hanging in there waiting for me. :) Hugs.

Sending Multiple Photos...

Hi friends. Thought I'd share a quick tip. I recently got Aiden's 6 month photos taken and needed to send multiple pics out. I received a few blank photo cards from the photography studio and thought I would jazz them up with my scrappin' skills. :)  ...
It's hard to see in the photo but I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment (sending sunshine and laughter) along the gray strip using Staz-On black ink. Then I used a photo id badge holder to hold lots of wallet size pictures of my little man. I used two small brads to hold it in place. I also matted the photo card with cardstock to hide the brads on the back. Here's a closer look...
That's all I got for now. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Card Shares...

I thought I would dust off the cobwebs on my blog and actually post something. LOL I was able to find my creative mojo again thanks to my sweet friend Jana. She invited me over to play in her amazing studio and I was able to whip up a few cards....

I'm officially on the washi tape band wagon. I used it here to hold my lil' flag...

A card for a friend dealing with health issues....

The umbrella was made from washi tape and the grass was strips of paper sprayed with green spray mists and I dotted them with glossy accents to look wet. :)
A card for a friend who LOVES owls...
Was inspired by the feathers on the owl so created some for the card with circles of patterned paper...
Loving banners right now...
This card is for THIS card drive....
This card I made awhile ago on a retreat but haven't shared...
I love the effect of glossy accents on the umbrella to make it look wet...
Okay, that's all I got for now. Be back soon with more shares and better pics. Finally got a new computer (my sweet hubby surprised me with one...he's the best). Thanks for stopping by!

Aiden's Baptism...

Hello friends. Again, I apologize for being MIA. I'm just too in love with my little man to get any blogging done. I'm sure you'll forgive me. :)

Now onto some pics of Aiden's Baptism....
This was taken when we got home and did a lil' photo shoot. Alex is Aiden's Godfather. (heart melting right now) ...
He was an angel all day...
 It was a beautiful ceremony...
The thank you cards I made for the guests...
Aiden's cousins had so much fun at the party. I made up some loot bags for them.....
that included some coloring sheets of Aiden! .....
the photographer I used for his 3 month photo shoot made these up.....
Oh, and here is the invite I made with Alex's help ...
"For this child I have prayed." -I Samuel 1:27

It was an amazing day. Thanks for stopping by. Be back soon with a creative share.

Jennifer,
You are constantly inspiring me (not just with crafting but in so many other aspects of life) and I am so very honored to be called your friend. You are one of the kindest people I've ever met and you are a wonderful mother. I've already learned so much from you. I'm excited for you and your family on this new adventure.

Thank you for being you.
