Hello. Hope you all had a nice weekend. I was able to spend a lot of the time getting crafty. But before I show you that, congrats to
Loriann! You are the winner from the Cards for Kids Giveaway! Email me and I will send out your prize. :)
I thought it would be fun to share a card or card set every single day this week. The first one uses flowers. Not just one flower, but several. I took some
Hero Arts flowers in cream and white (which are PERFECT for this technique because they are paper flowers).....

layed them inside a shipping box on top of some white cardstock...

and sprayed them with color mists. This one using a pinkish red mist...

The reason I used white cardstock instead of just scratch paper was because once you remove the flowers, it makes a great background design for a future project...

I also sprayed some with silver mist. If you look close, you can see the glitter shine (it's hard to capture on a picture but all of them are shiny in real life)

Here is the final product. I like that you can control how much you spray on each flower to alter the final look. Some are heavier with color than others. I like the variety...

Here is today's card using a variety of the pinkish red flowers.
THIS is my new favorite background stamp. Isn't it gorgeous stamped on kraft with black ink? Yum.

To create the flower, I layered several of the flowers using a brad and then attached a button on top with some black string. You can see a detail shot of the flower
HERE.
Thanks for stopping by. Be back tomorrow with a new card...
