Sending Multiple Photos...

Hi friends. Thought I'd share a quick tip. I recently got Aiden's 6 month photos taken and needed to send multiple pics out. I received a few blank photo cards from the photography studio and thought I would jazz them up with my scrappin' skills. :)  ...
It's hard to see in the photo but I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment (sending sunshine and laughter) along the gray strip using Staz-On black ink. Then I used a photo id badge holder to hold lots of wallet size pictures of my little man. I used two small brads to hold it in place. I also matted the photo card with cardstock to hide the brads on the back. Here's a closer look...
That's all I got for now. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Card Shares...

I thought I would dust off the cobwebs on my blog and actually post something. LOL I was able to find my creative mojo again thanks to my sweet friend Jana. She invited me over to play in her amazing studio and I was able to whip up a few cards....

I'm officially on the washi tape band wagon. I used it here to hold my lil' flag...

A card for a friend dealing with health issues....

The umbrella was made from washi tape and the grass was strips of paper sprayed with green spray mists and I dotted them with glossy accents to look wet. :)
A card for a friend who LOVES owls...
Was inspired by the feathers on the owl so created some for the card with circles of patterned paper...
Loving banners right now...
This card is for THIS card drive....
This card I made awhile ago on a retreat but haven't shared...
I love the effect of glossy accents on the umbrella to make it look wet...
Okay, that's all I got for now. Be back soon with more shares and better pics. Finally got a new computer (my sweet hubby surprised me with one...he's the best). Thanks for stopping by!

Aiden's Baptism...

Hello friends. Again, I apologize for being MIA. I'm just too in love with my little man to get any blogging done. I'm sure you'll forgive me. :)

Now onto some pics of Aiden's Baptism....
This was taken when we got home and did a lil' photo shoot. Alex is Aiden's Godfather. (heart melting right now) ...
He was an angel all day...
 It was a beautiful ceremony...
The thank you cards I made for the guests...
Aiden's cousins had so much fun at the party. I made up some loot bags for them.....
that included some coloring sheets of Aiden! .....
the photographer I used for his 3 month photo shoot made these up.....
Oh, and here is the invite I made with Alex's help ...
"For this child I have prayed." -I Samuel 1:27

It was an amazing day. Thanks for stopping by. Be back soon with a creative share.

Jennifer,
You are constantly inspiring me (not just with crafting but in so many other aspects of life) and I am so very honored to be called your friend. You are one of the kindest people I've ever met and you are a wonderful mother. I've already learned so much from you. I'm excited for you and your family on this new adventure.

Thank you for being you.

Happy Mother's Day!

Feeling so blessed to have these two guys in my life....

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Ted and the boys took me to Montgomery Inn Boathouse to eat lunch and then we spent the day relaxing. It was wonderful.
And this little guy has been an angel all day...
He must know what today is. :) Happy Mother's Day!!! Thanks for stopping by.

For the love of Hero Arts...

Hello. LOTS to share today. As many of you know, I love Hero Arts. Their stamps just make me happy so I wanted to share a few different projects highlighting my favorite products from them, old and new. First up is part of my mom's Mother's Day gift. She loves handmade gifts from me so I thought I would make her a card set because she is always sending out cards. Here is the package (box from Target-my happiest place on earth lol) ...

A closer look at the tag. I used an older Hero Happy Mother's Day Stamp and heat embossed it. I finished it off with some clear gems..

When you open the box, you see this...

That cute black and white pen is from Target too. :)

Here is the card set...
A closer look at a technique featured on the oh so talented Jennifer McGuire's blog. You can find the technique HERE. I like how she die cuts an image and then puts the image back in so it lays flat for a smooth look.... GREAT for sending cards through the mail. Jennifer used a die cut for this technique but I used a punch instead (Martha Stewart butterfly punch). I inked each butterfly with the ink I used for the background color. Sprayed it heavily with pearlized water-hard to see in real life but GREAT shine! and then glued it on top of a black piece of paper that I taped under the white background. I used a glitter pen in the black holes to give it more shine. I also love using Washi tape to anchor the sides of the die cut....
 The envelopes got fancy too...
I dry embossed the flaps only. Love the look...
Project #2: I wanted to make visual black and white cards for Aiden's crib to give him something to look at...
I just stamped some of the Hero Background Stamps on white cardstock, cut them to size and lined his crib with them...
He loves them- just look at that smile...

Project #3- Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up so I made a set of these for my nephews preschool teachers.....
I heat embossed THIS fun background stamp with white embossing powder on black cardstock to resemble a chalkboard. ( I even smudged up the edges to look like it was erased.) I also put glossy accents on the apple to make it shine. The green background was stamped with THIS stamp using THIS ink onto THIS card. ...
I hope you enjoyed these Hero projects. Have a great weekend!
