Bad Blogger...

I know that I have been a bad blogger lately. Sorry, just need to get caught up with orders, work, laundry, cleaning, etc. (the list goes on and on) and this blog is always on my to-do list...I'm trying though! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for checking in. I will be back on Monday with a few surprises and hopefully a few scrap projects for ya! (Jennie and I are going scrapping Sat.)
(ETA: Go check out Scrapbook Bakery...the new kit of the month is up..."Summer Camp" and it is filled with goodies and check out what the talented guest designer, Nichol Magouirk did with the kit!)
And because I can't post without a pic....here is the Aug. kit...

Hero Arts Challenges

Does everyone know that Hero Arts has challenges each week on their blog? If you don't know about it yet, go check it out! I have done the past two weeks challenges and won both times! I am so excited because I love Hero Arts stamps..who doesn't!?.... and now I can have an excuse to go shopping on their site! Yeah! This past week's challenge theme was anything that had to do with summer. I received second place with this....It is a "Summer Survival Kit"! I gave this as a gift to Alex's teachers on the last day of school. Just some fun summer items for them to enjoy....

Hope your summer is going good. Any fun plans?

Thanks for stopping by!

Mega Card Class

I taught a Mega Card Class tonight. 20 cards and an organizer, oh my! lol I had fun. Thanks to all the ladies who came! I hope you had a good time. As promised, some pics of the cards. Sorry for the not so great pics, I did not want to play in Photoshop tonight! :)

and the organizer (white photo box) ....the top piece of paper has a ribbon attached to it to create a pocket for those long cards that won't fit too well inside the box. Like this one :) ......

Ladies, please let me know if you need any image larger sent to you for finishing up your cards. Thanks for looking! Be back soon....

Summertime...

is getting away from me! Anyone else feel like you blinked and summer is almost over? I love summertime. I love spending time with Alex and enjoying time at the pool but I feel like this summer has been rushed and there has not been a lot of time to relax. However, I sometimes manage to remind myself to slow down. I was working on Scrapbook Bakery orders and walked by my step-son's room and saw this.....

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture. I always am thrilled to get candid shots of any subject who doesn't know I am there. :) But this one...it says so much. Alex has been obsessed with his music lately. He is in a rock band with his friends (Impulsive) and now he has been composing his own songs and mixing them. His talent is amazing and this picture seems to capture his passion. I haven't took a lot of pictures this summer but this one seems to sum it all up for Alex. :)

Okay, back to work. Just thought I would drop in and say hi and that I am still alive. lol I will be back with LOTS more soon. I have still been on a card making kick...I am teaching a MEGA card class Tuesday that I am preparing for so I can share that soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Super Sale!

Hurry over to the SB for our Super Sale, a new category under shop/product categories! I have been clearancing a bunch of items and will be doing more all day...some great deals....grab them while you can!

So my post will not be without a pic...here is a card I did for the Hero Arts Interactive Card Challenge last week.....(ETA...I just got an email from Hero Arts telling me that I won! I got an honorable mention on their blog. :) GO check it out here)
This is a joke card and it does not open like a traditional card. The back is made of transparency, so I stamped with StazOn. Here is the punchline...

Hee Hee. I love sending these cards to kids but also my friends or family who are just having a bad week or just need a smile! They are fun.

I have been asked if I use a "handmade by" stamp on my cards. Yes, sort of. I use the Hero Arts Handmade stamp and then add to it a stamp I have had forever that has my intials on them. Here is a pic of it...

Not only does it have my handmade signature on it but that circle hides the glue from the circle on the front. :)

Off to put more product on Sale. Be back soon. Have a GREAT day!

Cards, cards, and more cards.....

Hi! Hope everyone had a fantastic Fourth of July! We didn't do too much b/c of the rainy weather but tonight we are having a campfire with friends.
Just thought I would share what I have been up to lately (forgive the quality of the pics, my camera battery was dying as soon as I turned it on, so I took a bunch quickly!) ....Cards, cards, and more cards for Jennifer's Card Drive. I have had so much fun with these! I love making cards for kids because the possiblities are endless....ideas just kept popping in my head!
Here are some more pics....This first "set" are all joke cards. The question is on the front of the card and the punchline is on the inside along with some stickers....I also made these...
The first two are for Taylor and Lauren. The girls have these fun things inside....

I found these fun pads at Cracker Barrell last week. The entire pad was too thick for the cards so I tore off about half and used a brad to attach them together and then adhered it into the card.

And for Samuel, I put this in his card....

I also made these...
Inside the girls cards were little fashion sticker books just like the dinosaur sticker book above and in the first card for Samuel was this...
I used the Blackboard Robot Chipboard from Cosmo Cricket for him to decorate. :)
These are probably my favorite...
The top one opens to reveal a little gift of storytime for Samuel....

The bottom two cards are for the girls and the mini markers on the front are for coloring the inside of the card...

I used one of my Hero Arts stamps to make a coloring sheet right on the inside of the card.
If you are interested in creating a card for Jennifer's card drive, go check it out (there is a Card Drive for Kids link on the right hand side of her blog). I love the thought of putting a smile on a child's face. I'm sure I will be making more.
Thanks for all of your sweet comments from the last post and yes, Erin... the Flip camera is awesome and I will be making a scrapping video soon. I promise. Keep checking back! Be back soon...have a great weekend!
