PB Inspiration

Hi everyone. I actually did a little scrapbooking this morning! I love me some Pottery Barn and I came across a pic in one of their older catalogs and it inspired me to scrap a mini page of Alex's second homecoming dance pic. Here is the ad with my scribblings on it....and here is the 8x8 layout....I think I will have to do this more often because this came together pretty quick. See that mini chalkboard with the number two on it? That is from Pottery Barn! I got a set of them a long time ago for place cards and never used them until now! Gotta love Pottery Barn!

I will be back tomorrow with the new kit of the month! Maybe even sooner......

Let me see!

Usually what I hear from someone wanting to see what I created after I get back from a scrapbook night with the girls. So, ya wanna see what I did? I'll show you...
More Cards! What a surprise. :) I really do still scrapbook BUT with the holidays coming up, I've got gifts on my mind. These butterfly cards I made as a gift. They are blank b/c most of my friends are scrapbookers who have stamps, so they can use the greeting of their choice. Here is a closeup...I heat embossed a butterfly stamp from Basic Grey with white embossing powder. (I just ordered it for the store because I love it so much)

I posted a cherry card here before but I decided to make a small set.....and with the scraps, I made these just for fun....Well, back to work on my studio. Right now, I am organizing my many stamps into categories....Wish me luck! lol

Thanks for stopping by. Be back soon....

Studio Update...

Sorry I haven't posted much. I have been hibernating in my scrap studio trying to finish it! It has been a long process but it is definitely paying off. I am in love with the new paint color. It makes me so happy when I walk in, which I think (well, hope) will get my creative juices flowing. We went HERE last night and got six shelves. Can't wait to start clearing off my work station and loading them up. I'm not ready to share my room quite yet (I think I might do a video of it when I am done) but I thought I would give you a peek at the MM embellishment center I filled today. I am loving this! I think I need one more for the other side of the window....

I really like organizing my flowers by color instead of in one big, glass jar. I hope this will save some time finding the right color. Well, I need to get ready for a scrapbooking day tomorrow with the girls and then a weekend filled with more organizing! Be back soon...

Anniversary

Ted and I celebrated our four year anniversary on Thursday (October 16). We spent the day in Indiana going to a few of my favorite scrapbook stores, some antique shops and just wondering around the small town of Noblesville. It was such a great day and it was so nice to just slow down from being so busy at home and just enjoy eachother's company. I didn't take pictures (gasp!) becuase I just wanted to relax but I thought I would share a few favorites of us from our wedding....(all photos were taken by Tina Marie Photography)
Have a great weekend!

T.V. Night

I am not much of a t.v. junkie, but I love Sunday night television. Right now, I am watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition, then Desperate Housewives, and then my all time favorite show, Brothers and Sisters. I LOVE that show. So good.

I thought I would share a couple of cards. I know, big shock right? I haven't had the energy to make a layout but I was wanting to enter the Hero Arts challenge this week, which was to make a masculine card. This is something I don't do often but I will show you what I attempted for the challenge...I did lots of texture for this one and do you see that copper? I embossed it with the swiss dots folder with my cuttlebug! :)

The next card....The entire background of this card is made of Masking Tape! Just something fun.

That's all I got for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! A few of you emailed inquiring about the stamps for sale in the previous post. Yes, if you are interested in purchasing ALL of the stamps, I will ship them for free and give you a deal on purchasing all of them, just email me if you are interested. :)

Also, Scrapbook Bakery now has Gift Certificates...just in time for the holidays. The Gift Certificates can be mailed to a specific address or emailed!

What else? Not much to report. I am still on the mini-card craze. I'll leave you with a card that I made yesterday using new goodies I got for an upcoming kit of the month....The inside reads, "Thanks for being so sweet." I love Heidi Swapp products and the cherry chipboard is just yummy.

That's all I got for now. Be back soon....

Stamps for Sale

Happy Monday everyone! I was in the process of organizing all of my stamps and WOW, I have WAY TOO MANY! So I thought I would post some here for sale at great prices. These are NOT related to Scrapbook Bakery and not on the site, these are just from my personal use that I want to sell. So, if you are interested, shoot me an email at Jeepgirl1994@yahoo.com. (I will charge actual shipping cost unless you are local and can pick them up.)
First up, some Hero Arts goodies.....forgive the poor pics, in a hurry this morning....I couldn't remember what I paid for these so I looked them up at Hero Arts and didn't find these exact ones but THESE were a close match. Since they retail for $19.99 and I have NEVER (yes I am ashamed to admit) USED THEM! I will sell them for a bargain at $10.00.
Next up....

I love word stamps but I only used these a couple of times. As you can see, I paid $19.99 so again I am going to go sell these at half price for $10.00.

Next...These retail for $19.99 as you can see HERE. They are in great condition so again, these are for sell for $10.00.

MORE alphabets...

These tiny alphabets come with a locking carrying case with extra room for more stamps! :) The bottom alphabet retails for $11.99 as seen HERE and the top one I can't find online but paid the same. The carrying case retails for $3.50. So, for both alphabets and carrying case, I am selling this for $10.00!

Now for some Stampin Up alphabet sets that are already assembled! ....

This is called Alphabet Attitude Upper and it is from 1998. It is in good condition and I am selling it for $10.00.

Email me if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by!

World Card Making Day-Part One

Good Morning! It is World Card Making Day and I have some fun things planned! I love to make cards. It is a small thing that can put a big smile on someone's face.

First, to celebrate this FUN day, check out the Bakery and use coupon code NCMD08 and save 30% on all of your purchases (today only)! Share this coupon with your friends...it will not be on the site, just offered to my blog readers! :)

Okay, Let's start with a card share.....This is a mini-card from my class last Friday. I LOVE to use Hero Arts stamps like I did here but another way I enjoy to put greetings on my cards is to use Rub-ons. So, lets give some away! The first person to post a comment will be sent some of my favorite rub-ons from Crate Paper! I will post the winner in the next post.

(REMEMBER: I have a blog where I have to manually press a button to PUBLISH comments. You only need to post one comment and it does have the exact time when you placed the comment. Don't worry if you don't see it immediately. It will be up soon enough and I will pick the person with the earliest time)

These are an "ingredient" in the kit of the month and I just love all the greetings, perfect for cards. Keep checking the blog OFTEN! More prizes! More fun!
