On Trend: Navy and Pink

Hi Friends. I've been obsessed with the pink/navy color combo and thought I'd share a couple of card examples using it. This first card started with a navy base that was punched from THIS amazing punch. I originally bought it for Project life, but I'm finding myself using it on cards a lot....

I also love to partial emboss these days. It gives a perfect opening to place the greeting in. I also am in love with THIS stamp set with coordinating die. I love how many sentiment options it gives.

My second card can be found HERE. I did not take a photo of it but my sweet friend Joy did when she received it. Thanks Joy! :) It also uses the color combo and some fun stamping.

That's it for today. I hope you give this trendy color combo a try on your next project.

Thanks for stopping by!

Insider Class-Day One

So I decided to sign up for the INSIDER CLASS yesterday and I'm so glad I did. I have been in a creative rut lately and this class has pulled me out and has opened my mind to many ideas. Here is a card I created after watching Day One's video.....

The class focuses on bringing your card from the outside to the inside with details. I decided to do a pop-up greeting on the inside....

So my advice to you is to run, not walk, and sign up for this class. You can find out more about it HERE. Happy crafting!

Until next time...thanks for stopping by!

Paper Smooches....

I'm a big fan of Paper Smooches Stamps! I recently got THIS stamp set and wanted to make a few cards with it.

I think these next cards will be great for Valentine's Day...

I have a lot of friends expecting babies so I needed MANY welcome baby cards. This stamp set was perfect for that. I wanted to make them all a little different but with the same idea for the design...

I created these cards pretty quickly thanks to the Paper Smooches coordinating dies. What a time saver! THIS is the other set of dies.

Well, that's all I got for today. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Cards with a little something extra....

Hello! I'm back today with a couple of cards that has a little something extra for the recipient just for fun. I find myself creating cards that keep on giving a lot these days.

This is a card that I made for my sweet friend Jana...
As you all know, I like Target. A lot. I always find the cutest things in their dollar bins. I bought a few of these light bulb shaped post it notes and included some on the front of the card for her to use.
On a side note, I chose this light bulb theme because it went with the gift I gave her that day. For her birthday, I got her one of THESE. I got one as well and LOVE it. It's a perfect mini light that I take to crops and retreats.

The next card is a card I made for my friend's daughter who started college this week. I wanted a fun and bright card, so I broke out the neon papers and inks and here is what I came up with....
I also found a neon pink library card pocket in my scrapbook stash so I stuck some spending money inside and wrote her a little note on it telling her good luck...

I hope this inspires you to put a little something extra inside your next card. Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the love of enamel dots...

I'd thought I'd share a picture of my latest obsession. I can't seem to get enough of enamel dots lately. They seem to be the perfect finishing touch to any project. Here are a few examples..

I decided to play with some distress markers and a stencil to create the background of this card. Not really what I had pictured in my head, but I like it. Sometimes the happy accidents are the best part of being creative. I'm loving the blue/green color combo lately.

I also used some enamel dots to finish off the flowers on this card...
It's hard to see in the picture but I'm also loving white ink on kraft cardstock. It gives a ghost-like look. On this card I stamped the Hero Arts Envelope Background  stamp using THIS ink.

That's all I got for today. Have a great day!
