Catching Up...Summer Card Camp-Week 2

I don't know about you but I always feel like I just can't catch up. That's why I wanted to participate in an online class because I knew I can go at my own pace. Better late than never, right? So this week I will do just that and catch up on the fun color combo for week two of summer camp....
Here's my take on the color scheme...

The butterflies were cut out from a piece of cardstock that had THIS hero background stamp heat embossed in white. Then I covered each one with a different ink that resists the heat embossing...

I also wanted to do something really different with the card. I cut an 8 1/2 piece of cardstock in half to create a card. Then I cut out a 1 1/2 strip from the right top layer of the card ONLY. This way the butterflies lay flat and only the small strip on the left with the greeting lifts up to reveal a pop of color. Something different...was getting tired of the same old thing...

I will be back to catch up with Week 3 soon. Hugs! :)

Hi Heather! Love your card design--the pop of color and the way the card opens. So cool! Hope you are well.

I love your card! Nevermind the pretty butterflies, but that flap on one half of the card idea is fantastic!!

You never fail to amaze me with your beautiful cards & ideas! This is so pretty with the butterflies alone but the flap makes me smile. ;)
