I decided to hop on the computer to avoid my hubby and his joking me all day long about my big birthday tomorrow! (Shhh..I'm turning 30 and I'm freakin' out!) I'm usually really big on birthdays and he couldn't understand why I was not giving him a countdown to this one. ;) Well, he figured it out and has been teasing me ever since. lol
Anyway, onto the 30 DOI. I have two cards today to share. The first inspired by THIS necklace... I was drawn to the colors and wanted to use that blue/teal greenish shade...I stamped the fern image onto canvas using VersaMark and heat embossed with some green embossing powder. After that, I applied some bundled sage distress ink all over the canvas. I also put some rock candy distress stickles on top of the canvas for some shine...The next card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. I'm lucky enough to call her a friend. We are both Cincinnati girls so I attend a lot of her classes...what a treat...you learn so much and Jenn is an amazing teacher. She makes you want to step outside the box and try something new. Play, experiment. I love it. I recently saw a fun technique on her BLOG and wanted to give it a try.(Scroll down to the May 20th post)
She stamped with pearlized water (perfect pearls + water +mini mister). Here is my card using that technique....loving the new butterfly stamp from Hero arts...I can't believe that the 30 DOI is almost over! Don't forget to leave a link to your creation inspired by any of the days. I will draw a name at the end to receive a prize!
Thanks for stopping by!

love this card and love that necklace! 30 was not bad. I was quite surprised. I am to 32 this year and that seems more freaky than 30.
that card is just gorgeous! you do such amazing work, using your inspiration pieces! and you have nothing to worry about for this birthday. if it makes you feel better ... i'm hitting the big 4-0, in just 11 days. that is something to freak out about. lol!
Have a great Birthday! Be glad it is 30 and not 50 (me later this year). Hope to see you at a class again soon! Mary Kay
beautiful cards, wonderful!!
Beautiful cards Heather!! And that necklace is total inspiration! 30 isn't too bad. For some reason 28 bothered me & 36 was a bit bothering. Hope you have an AMAZING birthday my friend!! Enjoy every minute of it!!
Gorgeous cards!! And a huge happy birthday for tomorrow! Hope you have a fabulous day!
Gorgeous card, I love the use of the canvas! Hope you have a wonderful birthday (you are making me feel old because I just turned 33! LOL) 30 is actually quite a great year! :)
Happy Birthday. I turned 60 last month...YIKES! But the one that bothered me the most was 37. I think because I still had lots on my list to accomplish and just wasn't sure how to do it all and still work. (99% of the list required money). But now I am 60 and loving it. I still lots on my list to accomplish but then I keep adding to it also. Thank goodness for scrapbooking so I can document everything that has gone on in my life and my family. Anyway, have a great birthday!
Especially love the one on canvas Heather. BRAVO. Thanks for visiting me!
