Tim Holtz would be proud...

for me stepping out of my box and going grunge! :) I recently sat down with the pictures from Alex's band shoot and tried to do them justice with this two page LO...When creating two page LO's, I really like to treat each page as a mirror and mimic the other side. It makes designing super simple and looks organized, which I love!

Some more pics of each page...To create the tags...I started with a manilla office tag and applied wild honey distress ink. Then I layered fired brick distress ink and walnut stain distress ink on top of that. I dipped a paintbrush in water and flicked it on the tags for the water stain look and finished it off with some Tim Holtz stamps and chipboard houndstooth letters for the title.

More shots...Journaling reads, "For your 17th birthday, your dad and I decided to book a photo shoot for you and your band. I absolutely love what Tine shot. She definitely captured the feel of the band. I'm so happy that I was with you that day in the streets of Covington, celebrating you guys, your music, and your amazing talent."

Off to go watch my nephew. Have a great weekend!
