Card of the Day and Stamps Winner....

Thank you all for your sweet posts about my birthday and about my Uncle. They mean more than you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Big hugs to all of you.

First, I want to show you the Hero Arts card of the day:

I made this card using THIS set. I just love it! I watered down some gold Sticklez to put on the top of the pie for fun. The dotted paper is from Making Memories.

Before I sign off, the winner of the HA stamps is ....IDAHORHODES who said: "I love the owl stamp too! My little girl loves owls and decorates all her stuff with them! Thanks for the giveaway and Happy birthday!" June 3, 2009 10:15 PM. Email me your address and I will get some stamps to you! :)

Gotta go and get ready for a yard sale that I am having tomorrow. Be back soon with another card. Have a great weekend!

Another Hero Arts Card...

I created this card for the Hero Arts challenge a few weeks ago. I recycled some bubble wrap and inked it with THIS ink, stamped it on white cardstock and added some chocolate chips with a brown colored pencil to create chocolate chip cookies as the background. The owl and the larger cookie came from THIS set. I also used THIS paper and THIS paper.

I have to make this post short tonight because it has been a long day. My Uncle Andy took his own life this morning and my family and I have been trying to deal with the all the grief, confusion, heartache, and sadness. If you feel like saying a prayer for our family, I would appreciate it. I'll be back when things settle down.

I'm back...

Got home a few hours ago from my trip and it was wonderful. Very relaxing (except for the tornado warnings! One touched down just a few miles away from us!). Here are the gals that were there...from left to right: Jennifer, me, Kathy, Debbie, Karen, and Jana. Thanks to Jennifer I was able to use the Scattered Showers stamp set that I had been wanting from Papertrey Ink. I did a few cards with it and just couldn't get enough.....

I used Diamond glaze on this card on the umbrellas to give it a wet look.....

and my favorite one..

I will be back tomorrow with some fun stuff you won't want to miss for the month of June over at the Bakery. Stay tuned! :)
